THE MOOD TALK 5 - Souha
Dimensions: 11 x 15 inch - Acrylic on 300gr paper
Becoming an artist was faith for me, it wasn’t a choice.During a very long time, I decided to ignore that creative force that lived in me. I was struggling with that state until the day I let it submerge me.At first, I drowned in it, then I tried swimming against the current to finally understand that I had to simply let myself be carried away by my instinct and be free.Pushing constantly back my technical limits, I paint with both hands which allows me to explore different facets of my personality according to the hand I work with.
My themes are related to the present day news because of my profession. Indeed, being a journalist pushes me to interrogate myself onto the condition of the world and my relation to them.Writing is the pillar of my work. Very often, it is through poetry that my work of introspection and questioning begins. Painting is usually the culmination of one of my poems. The many places around the world that I have visited influence my work which is constantly in motion in term of colors, shapes and styles.
